Well, hello, this is Todd and this is Maggie, and we're so glad that you've joined us. We're, we're in studio now. Ooh, that sounds really. We're in the studio, I like that. So we we need to get a light. We need to get one of those recording light. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Oh. Blinking light. Can someone make a note of that?
00;00;26;02 - 00;00;47;02
But we want to kick things off because we're really excited. So this past August, August 6th, we just released our fall winter spring program guide. Super excited. This is actually a brand new kind of lay out, new design. We wanted something a little bit cleaner, something that looked a little bit more modern. It's so pretty. I'm a huge fan of that.
00;00;47;02 - 00;01;09;00
I love the redesign. It's actually on our website right now. If you go to round Rock, texas.gov/parks and Rec, you will see the new program guide for the fall winter spring right there on our landing page. And you can click on that. You can also view it online. There's also links in it. So if you're looking at a program you're like, oh that looks cute.
00;01;09;02 - 00;01;24;01

It'll take you right to where you need to be to register for whatever that program was that you clicked on, that made you got you all excited. You're like, oh, that looks fun.
00;01;24;03 - 00;01;46;29
Isn't that easy and convenient? It's so convenient. Aren't we the most technologically savvy people ever? You guys can't see it. But he is laughing at me right now because I am not. No, no, I am in no way. And on that note. And on that note. Maggie. Hi. Tell us about the upcoming events. Nothing would make me happier.
00;01;47;01 - 00;02;05;23
Okay, so first upcoming event that we've got coming down the pipeline is going to be our moonlight movie night. This is a series that we do during the summer. We are going to be showing Top Gun Maverick on Friday, September 6th. It's going to be super fun. It's going to start at 730, but the movie is starting at eight and we have some food trucks out there.
00;02;05;23 - 00;02;36;29
So grab yourself a snack, grab yourself a drink, sit down. We'll give you some time to get settled. And actually, it's also serving as part of the opening for our next event, which is the nine over 11 Memorial at Flag Plaza presented by the Texas Fallen Project Incorporated. Flag Plaza is located at Honors Point North Settler's Park, and this memorial will be open the evening of Friday, September 6th and will be up through September 11th, 4000 American flags are going to be placed at the plaza to honor and remember the people that were lost.

The community is invited to come and take pictures and walk and view the memorial, and the Texas Fallen Project will also be on site the evening of Friday, September 6th to hand out swag and answer questions. It's, it's it's really beautiful, too. It really is. It's a it's a really moving it is quite, breathtaking. It really brings a presence and it makes such a beautiful impact.
00;02;58;12 - 00;03;24;22

Fun nights at Yonder Point is bringing back a crowd favorite, the pizza party. We did it for the first time last year. It was so much fun. So join us out at yonder plain Old Settlers Park. 00;04;45;05 - 00;05;06;01
There was one last year. There's going to be two giant pizzas this year, a savory one going to be cheese, pepperoni and a sweet one. They're doing a dessert pizza, a dessert, an eight eight foot dessert pizza. Oh, wow. It's going to be wild. I seen it right here. They were so big. They were huge. It was really impressive, frankly.
00;05;06;02 - 00;05;20;20
Yeah. It was. It was so cool. It was fun. So not one but two this year from dirt road cookers come out. They bring their giant oven. Yep. Which is also one of the most impressive things ever. We're also going to be showing a movie in the park that night. We're gonna be showing Mamma mia! Because, you know, it's a pizza party.
00;05;20;20 - 00;05;38;25
Things have to get a little cheesy. That was good. That is good. I have to I have to give that one to you. I thought about the whole. I also remember that we have a lot going on September. Oh my gosh. The Adaptive and inclusive Family Jamboree is going to be held at the play for All Abilities Park on Saturday, September 28th.

Isn't that wild to think about. We've got a lot more coming to us. Oh we got a lot more coming. 00;06;30;00 - 00;06;50;24
That's kind of the rundown of events. But you know Todd do you want to talk about what's going on about the Athletics. We've got the Peak Performance Academy. That registration is now open and that is with the round Rock trackers track and field team. And that's open for boys and girls ages 5 to 18. We also have soccer shots as well.

So registration is open right now for the kids clubhouse afterschool programs. School is back in session now. August just passed through. We're now in September. If you're looking for an awesome afterschool program, the Kids Clubhouse is where you want to be.

00;08;23;29 - 00;08;50;18
There's really no you're really no downside. Frankly, no downside in the downside. You either. It's a great time. You either make friends, you learn a skill, you grow as a person like you. At the end of the day, you Zumba. I just like saying that I like that word too. Frankly. But all of our programs you can find in our program guide, which again is on our website at round Rock, texas.gov/parks and rec.
00;08;50;18 - 00;09;09;15
Or you can just go straight to the source and go to round Rock recreation.com. And that's where you're going to be able to register for them as well. So it's a one stop shop Todd what's going on with aquatics right now. Are there any swim lessons? Yes, yes, and we have swim lessons still going on and still going on.
00;09;09;18 - 00;09;30;00
Well, we move them from outside. They're now in the pool clay mats and rec center. So you don't have to worry about freezing in the winter. Okay. That's true. But September 10th through the 19th, it's still happening at Lake Creek. Oh. It's true. So let's move over to CMRC so you can check out round Rock recreation.com throughout those swim lessons as well.
00;09;30;00 - 00;09;48;23

I think we head on just about everything that's happening. And as a reminder, this is essentially just what's happening. And that's right. Just September isn't that wild. But we do a lot.
